12.5% increase in sales
Significant acceleration of product development
Our cooperation with ARROW Engineering started with a brand strategy and online service project, but it was clear from the beginning that we would also work together to improve product development and user experience. When we decided how to bring design thinking into application development and how design in general can support sales, really great things started to happen.
Andon
Product development starts from user needs, not features
Product development starts from user needs, not features
We set out to test the functionality of the cooperation by creating a more scalable version of Andon, the industrial production help request and reporting application. Our responsibility was primarily visual user interface design, but we found that the process needs to be drilled deeper than the surface.
The user interface is not only eye candy, but its functionality is linked to the logic of the software running in the background. At a basic level, the application must offer the features that the user needs in his work. This cannot be fixed afterwards by tuning the UI.

ARROW's GEMA, i.e. Genius Manufacturing, is an MES system that guides the people of the manufacturing industry to do their work better and develop production more and more efficiently.
GEMA was developed from a clean slate, but it proceeded with the same logic as Andoni's update: first, it was mapped out in the workshop who would use the product, for what purpose and how.
"I have liked the cooperation very much. It's always wonderful when someone brings new ideas and methods, how things can be done even more efficiently and quickly, minimizing waste."
